Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning of dance (offerings) in deaf children in class X Extraordinary High School Pembina Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method which is a thorough understanding of deep research related to the object under study to answer the problem and get the data then analyzed and concluded. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the analysis of the data it can be concluded that based on the learning of art offerings carried out by the teacher in accordance with the steps of learning using the theory of Suryosubroto (2013: 39), 1) opening the lesson conducted by the teacher is good where students have the enthusiasm to learn with a good opening , 2) conveying the subject matter delivered by the teacher is good, where the teacher in delivering the material uses 4 meetings by using clear language style while demonstrating slowly so that the child understands, 3) using the method of teaching dance offerings to deaf children is also good , where the teacher has used oral cues and auditory methods, 4) using visual aids or media is also appropriate where the teacher uses video media and examples for deaf children in offering dance movements, 5) closing the lessons made by the teacher are also quite good, where the teacher always provide reinforcement and motivation to every deaf child after conducting learning activities, 6) assessment or evaluation conducted by the teacher is also good, where the teacher uses oral tests and practice tests to demonstrate the dance moves. From the results of the evacuation activity, it shows that deaf children can demonstrate dance movements correctly by reaching the KKM which is 70 with an average of 89.8 or complete.
