The occurrence of these pros and cons depends on how a person perceives polygamy which is influenced by factors such as experience, emotional feelings, and knowledge in both religious and religious terms. This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosityand perceptions ofpolygamy atPekanbaru society. The subjects of this study were the people of Pekanbaru, totaling 200 people and were selected using the Non Probability Sampling technique. The data collection method uses the MRPI (Muslim Religiosity Personality Inventory)scale compiled directly by Krauss, et al. (2006) and has been adapted by Fitriani (2018) into Indonesian with a total of 56 items and a perceptual scale of polygamy compiled by 29 researchers. . The statistical analysis used was Spearman's Rho correlationwhere the results showed a correlation coefficient r value of 0.174 with a size of 0.013 (p> 0.05). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between religiosityandperceptions of polygamy atthe people inPekanbaru, it meansthe higherreligiosity, the more positive the perception of polygamy. Based on the analysis carried out separatelyon the subject (man and woman), it was found that womansubjects still had a significant relationship between religiosity and perceptions of polygamy with a correlation of r of 0.345 with p of 0.000 (p <0.05), while atthe men subjectsfound no significant relationship between religiosity andperceptions of polygamy.
