Abstract
ANALYSIS OF CALEMPONG SONG MUSIC (SAYANG SINGGAH SAYANG LALU) IN THE "PATAH TUMBUH HILANG BAGANTI" GROUP IN MENTULIK VILLAGE KAMPAR DISTRICT LAILATUL QODRIAH 166710066 ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the analysis of Calempong Song Music (Sayang Singgah Sayang Lalu) in the "Patah Tumbuh Hilang Baganti" Group in Mentulik Village, Kampar District. Calempong music is a traditional art that has been passed down from generation to generation, consisting of only six calempong, two long gondang, and two ogung and the players consist of 4 people. The music analysis that the author is careful with in the Calempong Song Music Analysis (Sayang Singgah Sayang Lalu) in the "Patah Tumbuh Hilang Baganti" Group in Mentulik Village, Kampar District includes scales, notation systems, melody, rhythm, harmony, dynamics, tempo, structure of musical composition. as well as the type of play. The problem of this research is how the song calempong music (Sayang Singgah Sayang Lalu). This study uses the theory of Schneck and Berger in The Music Effect book and the theory of Bruno Nettl's approach in the book Theory and Methods in Ethnomusicology. This type of research is field research with a qualitative interaction description method. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. The research subjects in this study were 4 people, namely Sudir, Danis, Hasan and Basri as Calempong music artists in Mentulik Village and Maharani as informant who are also one of the senior calempong music artists in Mentulik Village. After conducting research and analyzing the findings in the field, a conclusion can be drawn. The result of the research is a musical form of Calempong Song (Sayang Singgah Sayang Lalu) in the "Patah Tumbuh Hilang Baganti" Group in Mentulik Village, Kampar District. a) a scale that is not in accordance with the diatonic scale, b) a definite notation system does not yet exist, c) one form of a melody that is played repeatedly, d) a rhythm dominated by the note motifs 1/8 , 1/16, e) dynamic seems flat, f) the tempo is 110 bpm, g) the type of play is the type of playing melody.
