Abstract
Developments in Pangkalan Kuras Sub-district are marked by the many economic developments in the trade and services sector that are growing in several villages/kelurahan in Pangkalan Kuras District which are crossed by the East Sumatran Road and have the potential for economic growth in the field of oil palm plantations with an area of 73,516 Ha or 20% of the total area. The area of oil palm plantations in Pelalawan Regency is 356,880 Ha. With this growth, spatial structure policies and strategies can be realized in every sub-district in Pelalawan Regency, especially Pangkalan Kuras District by creating an equitable service structure to all residents of Pangkalan Kuras District through the distribution of facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the direction and scenario of the development of the Pelalawan Regency area, carrying capacity environment and population conditions in each region, it is necessary to determine the growth center. The research approach used in this study is a deductive approach, in which the procedure starts from the formation of the theoretical foundations and then determines the variables to be studied in analyzing the determination of growth centers in Pangkalan Kuras District. Based on the results of the analysis of the scalogram analysis and the analysis of the Marsall centrality index that has been carried out, the growth center in Pangkalan Kuras District is based on the availability of service facilities, namely Sorek Satu Village with a total of 15 service facilities out of 15 available facilities so that the village deserves to be hierarchical I. Based on the results From the gravity analysis above, it is known that the village/kelurahan with the highest interaction magnitude is in Sorek Dua Village. Sorek Dua Village has an interaction with Sorek Satu Village with an interaction magnitude of 4411437.33.
