Abstract

FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS OF VANAME (Litopenaeus Vaname) CULTIVATION BUSINESS (CASE IN FISHERIES PRODUCTION UNIT UPT IN PENEBAL VILLAGE) IN BENGKALIS REGENCY, RIAU PROVINCE. Under the guidance of Mr. Heriyanto, SP, M. Si. In running the vannamei shrimp farming business, entrepreneurs are faced with several problems, including: the use of technology that is still simple, the presence of other entrepreneurs who are competitors and limited price information, so that it will have an impact on the revenues and profits received by the entrepreneur. This study aims to analyze (1) Knowing the characteristics of business actors and business profiles of Vaname Shrimp Cultivation in Penebal Village, Bengkalis Regency. (2) Analyzing the financial feasibility of Vaname Shrimp Cultivation in Penebal Village, Bengkalis Regency. (3) Analyzing the sensitivity level of Vaname Shrimp Cultivation business to price changes. This research was conducted for 5 months starting from April 2020 to August 2020 which includes proposal preparation activities, data collection in the field, data tabulation and report writing. This study uses a survey method, a case of Vaname Shrimp Cultivation in Penebal Village, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. Respondents in this study were taken by case studies. The data collected includes primary data and secondary data. The results show that (1) the characteristics of entrepreneurs are in the productive age group, which is 43 years and the age of the employees is in the productive age, which is an average of 22 years. The education level of entrepreneurs is 12 years (SMA), and the average level of education for employees is 12 years (SMA). The number of dependents of the entrepreneur's family is 3 people and the average employee is 1 person. 17 years of entrepreneurial experience and 3 years of employees on average. The business profile of Vaname Shrimp Cultivation in Penebal Village was established in 2003 until now. The scale of the Vaname Shrimp Cultivation in Penebal Village is included in the small and medium business. (2) The analysis of the financial business feasibility of the investment criteria shows that the Vaname Shrimp Cultivation business in Penebal Village is feasible to run. (3) The results of the sensitivity analysis show that the Vaname Shrimp Cultivation business in Penebal Village is sensitive when there is a 10% decrease in the selling price of shrimp with an NPV value of Rp. 773,601,457/year, IRR value of 41%, Net B/C Ratio of 4.21 with a payback period of 3 years and 2 months.
