Abstract

The banking sector is one of the sectors that has felt the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to examine the relationship between Employee Resilience and Work Involvement of Bank Employees in Pekanbaru City during the New Normal Life Period. Respondents in this study were 131 bank employees from 17 state-owned and private banks in the city of Pekanbaru. This research uses quantitative methods, data collection techniques are carried out by spreading the scale. The employee resilience scale consists of 24 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.937 and the work involvement scale consists of 21 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.881. Data analysis technique with parametric analysis using Pearson correlation test. The results of data analysis obtained the value of the correlation coefficient r = 0.788, with a significant value of p = 0.000, p = <0.05). With the results of this analysis, the hypothesis can be accepted, which can be interpreted that there is a significant relationship between employee resilience and employee job involvement, with a strong level of relationship and a positive direction of relationship. So it can be concluded that increasing employee resilience will also increase employee work engagement.
