Abstract
Industrial Development by fostering the tofu and tempeh food industry with the aim of increasing the ability of the community in managing industrial businesses. Implementation of industrial development based on the duties of the Kampar District Industry and Labor Office based on Kampar Regent Regulation No. 59 of 2016 concerning the Kampar Regency Industry and Labor Office in fostering the Food industry includes Giving direction, Giving guidance, Supervising, Providing training, Providing training and manuals. The purpose of this study was to determine the Role of the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency in the Development of Food Industry in Kampar Regency and to find out the obstacles in carrying out the duties of the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency in the Development of Food Industry in Kampar Regency. The research method used is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the research of the role of the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency in the Development of Food Industry in Kampar Regency through five indicators are in the words "Pretty Good" with an average value of 16 with a percentage of 53%. the ability training activities have not been implemented. The conclusion of the research is known that the role of the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency is said to be quite good. However, the authors suggest that the Department of Industry and Labor of Kampar Regency increase the number of employees in providing coaching and training, increasing the ability of employees in providing training materials for the business of tofu industry, Tempeh.
