Abstract

Pandau Jaya Village is a contributor to part of patin fish production in Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, which is located close to the urban center of Pekanbaru City. Mr. Mulyadi's company x is one of the catfish businesses located in Pandau Jaya Village with the largest production volume in the area but fish sales are still through traders.. This study aims to analyze, 1) Characteristics of business actors and business profiles. 2) Business performance per production process/6 months includes gross income of IDR 300,000,000, 3) Development strategy for patin fish business in Pandau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. This research used a case study method which was conducted from March 2020 to August 2020. The results showed (1) Characteristics of farmers, age 34 years, high school education, 12 years of business experience, number of dependents of 5 families. (2) Business performance includes gross income of Rp.300,000,000, net income of Rp.81,421,500, business efficiency of 1.37. (4) Development strategy, increasing production and paying attention to the quality of feed also utilizing technology to meet market demand, be consistent in providing quality feed and utilize alternative feeds to reduce the cost of purchasing main feed, carry out promotions and strive to produce value-added derivatives and develop them into markets that are more broadly, providing their own seeds as an effort to get around the price of seeds which may increase and result in business income.
