Abstract

Malim Nawar is in the Perak area, Malaysia which is located in the coordinates longitude 101°7'48 "- 101°6'11" West and latitude 4°20'26 "- 4°19'21" North. The research area is in the karst area which is a densely populated location and public facilities, namely the highway. The purpose of the study was to obtain complete Bouguer anomaly, regional anomaly and residual anomaly for the determination of subsurface karst structures in the study area. The method used in research is the gravity method.The complete Bouguer anomaly (ABL) value of the study area was - 34.96 mGal - 85.79 mGal, the regional anomaly value was 7.08 mGal - 32.42 mGal and the residual anomaly value was -59.45 mGal - 57.41 mGal. The subsurface karst structure in the study area is northeast-southwest in the form of a buried sinkhole. The regional anomaly depth limit is ± 266.6 m and the residual anomaly is ± 90.9 m based on spectrum analysis. The distribution of subsurface density values of the study area ranged from 1.9 gr / cm3 - 2.4 gr / cm3 interpreted as sediment deposits in the form of clay sand and 2.4 gr / cm3 - 2.6 gr / cm3 interpreted as limestone lithology.
