Abstract

Halal Certificate is an acknowledgment of the halalness of a product issued by the Halal Product Organizing Agency (BPJPH) based on a written fatwa from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), which certifies the Halalness of a product in accordance with Islamic law. Fanybella Resto restaurant is one of the restaurants that has carried out halal certification in 2021. As is the importance of Halal certification to be able to encourage an increase in Restaurant Business Sales in Pekanbaru City. Before doing halal certification, Fanybella Resto had an income of around Rp. 30,000,000-Rp. 40,000,000 per month, after doing halal certification on April 23, 2021, Fanybella Resto got an increase in income which reached Rp. 70,000,000 per month. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of halal certification in an effort to increase sales at Fanybella Resto in Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Halal Certification in increasing sales at Fanybella Resto in Pekanbaru City. The research that the researcher will use is descriptive qualitative research. The informants of this study amounted to one person, namely the manager of the restaurant. The technique used to collect data in this study is by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of interviews in this study, it can be concluded that the existence of a Halal Certificate can be an added value for the Fanybella Resto Restaurant, seen from the results of interviews with the restaurant manager, that halal certification provides a very significant increase in sales for the restaurant. increase sales at Fanybella Resto.
