Abstract

METACOGNITIVE STRATEGY ON STUDENTS’ CREATIVE THINKING IN LEARNING ISLAMIC CULTURAL HISTORY AT MTs LKMD KASIKAN, KAMPAR REGENCY TUTI ALAWIYAH HARAHAP 172410121 This study is motivated by the low creative thinking of students at MTs LKMD in Kasikan Village, Kampar Regency. A student should have high creative thinking, because the creative thinking is an important thing to achieve success, especially in the world of education. The problem formulation of this study is how the influence of metacognitive strategy on students’ creative thinking in learning Islamic cultural history at MTs LKMD Kasikan, Kampar Regency. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of metacognitive strategy on students’ creative thinking in learning Islamic cultural history at MTs LKMD Kasikan, Kampar Regency. The type of this study is quantitative research with a correlation approach. The sampling technique used is proportionate Startified Random Sampling, that is the sample taken by determining the level. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study show that the alternative hypothesis of the influence of metacognitive learning strategy on students’ creative thinking is accepted with a significance value of 0.000. The magnitude of the influence of metacognitive learning Strategy on students' creative thinking is quite strong (0.463 or 46.3%). It can be predicted that if the metacognitive learning strategy increases, it will increase the students’ creative thinking by 0.463 or 46.3% and vice versa. In conclusion, the results of this study show that there is an Influence of Metacognitive strategy on students' creative thinking in learning Islamic Cultural History at MTs LKMD Kasikan, Kampar Regency.
