Abstract
The research has been done in Buluh Cina Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The purposes of this research are to determine the geomorphological conditions, to determine the subsurface geological conditions, to determine the value of the infiltration rate, to identify several factors that affect infiltration rate, and to figure out the infiltration rate distribution map. Geomorphology that found in the research area is erosional flood plain geomorphological unit with a level of 5-11 m. Subsurface geology is done by using hand auger and double ring methods in 7 stations, those samples are dominated by fine-medium sand sediments. Core 3 and 4 are dominated by fine sand, so this core has the highest infiltration test value. Drilling on cores 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 are dominated by silt. The infiltration rate distribution can be inferred from the infiltration level distribution map, that the highest value is in the North and the lowest value is towards the West. The highest value is in ST 3 and ST 4 with infiltration value of 180 mm/hr which are at an adequately high elevation that is around 13 m-16 m. Meanwhile, the lowest value is in ST5 with an infiltration value of 1.5 mm / hr. In ST1, ST2, ST6, and ST7 have a low infiltration rate with infiltration values of 90 mm / hr, 150 mm / hr, 6.7 mm / hr and 12 mm /hr.
