Abstract

Strategy is a way to achieve long-term goals of a company that is determined based on the results of situation analysis and research that has been carried out using certain actions and requires allocation of resources needed in the implementation of the action. The purpose of this study was to determine public relations activities in dealing with forest and land fires. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data from this study were obtained from various data sources in order to answer the researcher's problems, namely primary and secondary data. This research uses Cultif and Center theory as the basis in making this thesis. There were 4 informants in this study. The results of this study explain the public relations activities of PT. Sekato Pratama Makmur (SPM) in dealing with forest and land fires by using Cultif and Center theory on public relations strategy which consists of three objectives, namely fact finding is done to find out facts, it is in the form of forest encroachment and cigarette butts. This plan was made as an effort to facilitate PT Sekato Pratama Makmur, it is in the form of MPA (Fire Care Community) and RPK (Firefighter Teams) work programs. Communication Action is the presentation of messages to other people, this is in the form of monitoring and socializing forest and land fires.
