Abstract
In the learning process cannot be separated from learning problems one of which is difficulty in learning. Basically the learning difficulties of students is a symptom that appears in various manifestations of student behavior, both directly and indirectly in accordance with the level of students’ learning difficulties. Based on preliminary study at SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru, there are several symptoms of students' learning difficulties, namely: slow in doing learning tasks, students are active in learning but have low results, there are also students who are active in learning but difficult to understand the material. Based on symptoms, the authors are interested in conducting research with the title: "Teacher Efforts to Overcome Students’ Difficulties in Learning Islamic Religion Education at SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru" With the formulation of the problem "what are the teacher efforts to overcome students’ difficulties in learning Islamic Religion education at SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru? “ The purpose of the study is to find out the teacher efforts to overcome students’ difficulties in learning Islamic Religion education at SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The subject of this study are Islamic religion education teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The object of this study are the teacher efforts to overcome the students’ difficulties in learning Islamic Religion education at SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques are using interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques is interactive models including: 1) data reduction, 2) display data, 3) conclusion based drawing or verification. Based on this study, concluded that from fourteen indicators of study on the teacher efforts to overcome students’ difficulties in learning Islamic Religion education at SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru there are five implemented well, namely: Islamic religion education teachers have tried to examine the personal list of students, Islamic religion education teachers have tried to study the students to find out the progress, Islamic religion education teachers have tried to identify cases against students, Islamic religion education teachers have tried to arrange the material that will be taught to students, Islamic religion education teachers have tried to hold a remedial.
