Abstract

Research has been carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution km 13, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya Subdistrict, Pekanbaru, for 4 months from June to September 2018. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of vermicompost and NPK Pearl 16:16:16 for the growth and production of sparrow eggplant both interactively and each of the main treatments. The design of this study used Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 2 factors, where the first factor was Kascing fertilizer (K) consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely K0: untreated, K1: 420 g / plot, K2: 840 g / plot , K3: 1,260 g / plot. The second factor NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 (N) consists of 4 levels, namely K0: without treatment, K1: 10 g / plant, K2: 20 g / plant, K3: 30 g / plant. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, weight of fruit per fruit, weight of fruit per plant, number of leftover fruit. The treatment of vermicompost and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 in an interaction significantly affected the observation of plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, weight of fruit per plant. The best treatment on Kascing fertilizer is 1,260 g / plot and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 30 g / plant (K3N3). The main effect of Kascing fertilizer has a real influence on all parameters observed. The best treatment is the dose of Kascing fertilizer 1,260 g / plot. The main effect of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer has a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment is NPK Mutiara dosage 16:16:16 30 g / plant.
