Abstract
This study aims to improve student Biology learning outcomes by applying active learning Giving Question And Getting Answer (GQGA) in class VIII4 Pekanbaru 21 Junior High School Academic Year 2018/2019. This research was conducted on 1 November 2018 until 6 December 2018. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The subjects of this study are the students’ grade VIII4 which amounted to 41 students with 19 male students and 22 female students. Parameters measured are student learning outcomes in the form of absorption and student completeness in learning consisting of individual and classical completeness. Data analysis was done descriptively to know students’ absorption and mastery for PPK (Cognitive) and KI (Psychomotor) score. Absorption value of PPK of student before PTK 69.59% increased in cycle I to 76.44% and in the cycle II increased to 81.18%. Thus the classical completeness of PPK value before PTK 51.21% increased in cycle I to 68.29% and in cycle II it increased to 87.80%. Similarly, the absorption of students' KI score before PTK 73.93% increased in cycle I to 77.35% and in cycle II it increased to 80.09%. Likewise with the classical completeness of KI score of students before PTK 61.90% in the first cycle increased to 65.85% and in the second cycle increased to 90.24%. It can be concluded that the implementation of learning Giving Question And Getting Answer (GQGA) can improve student learning outcomes of grade VIII4 SMP 21 Pekanbaru in academic Year 2018/2019.
