Abstract

Handicraft Small Business The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy for developing small-scale businesses in the industrial sector as an alternative to family income (a study on handicraft businesses in Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City). This type of research is descriptive using qualitative methods. Research informants are Owner Finora Nongsih with the types and sources of data used, namely: primary and secondary data. Then data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. All data collected were analyzed descriptively and then the relationship with the theories used in research related to the existing problems. The results of the study found that the industrial sector small business development strategy as an alternative to family income (a study on handicraft businesses in Raya Pekanbaru City) in this study was specifically at UPPKS (Business to Increase Prosperous Family Income) Sumber Rezeki. Where in the development of the UPPKS (Business to Increase Income for a Prosperous Family), Sumber Rezeki already has aspects of capital, aspects of production, aspects of marketing, and aspects of entrepreneurship. The business development undertaken at the UPPKS (Business to Increase Prosperous Family Income) Sumber Rezeki is able to increase family income. Although in its development there are still obstacles in the form of design and marketing
