Abstract

Abstract " Analysis of Difficulty Factors in Online Learning (Distance Learning) in Social Science Subjects Class VIII at SMPN 1 Tembilahan Hulu Academic Year 2020/2021 Nurfitri Ramadana 176810760 This study aims to determine the factors of online learning difficulties (distance learning) in social studies subjects for class VIII at SMPN 1 Tembilahan upstream for the 2020/2021 academic year. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. This research was conducted in class VIII of SMPN 1 Tembilahan upstream starting on April 06 to April 07, 2021 with a sample of 195 students. The data collection technique used by the researcher is a questionnaire. The results of the study can be concluded that the online learning difficulty factors for the average value of the internal factor indicator are 65.14% in the high category, the technical difficulty indicator is 76.67% in the high category, while for the external factor category it is 64.20% with high category. while for the overall internal factors, technical difficulties with external factors obtained a percentage result of 68.67% in the high category. this indicates that the factors of online learning difficulties in social science subjects class VIII experience difficulties including technical difficulties and internal factors in the form of students' inability in online learning, students' inability to use online learning applications and psychological aspects, students do not experience external difficulties in the form of support from economic hardship and support from schools.
