Abstract

Factors that influence learning outcomes consist of internal and external factors, such as interest in learning and learning discipline. Based on the results of preliminary observations made at SMA 10 Pekanbaru, the acquisition of student learning outcomes has not been able to reach the Maximum Mastery Criteria (KKM) which is 75 which is 46% of the number of students in the class, there are students who are less interested in learning due to lack of interest and often in and out when the teacher explains, students who lack discipline, often come late when the lesson is in progress. There are still students who do not pay attention to the lesson when the teacher explains in front of the class, and economic lessons so that many students are not focused and passive tend to be in learning that has an impact on the process of transferring knowledge so that science cannot be absorbed by students optimally and the learning outcomes received are also less than optimal. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an influence of student interest in learning and discipline of learning on economic learning outcomes in class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effect of interest in learning and student learning discipline on economic learning outcomes in class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru. This research uses quantitative research using survey methods. Data collection used in this study consisted of questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study concluded that there was a significant influence of students' interest in learning and learning discipline in Class X at SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru.
