Nuclear is one of the technologies that can be relied on to support human life, Iran's ability to develop nuclear technology has existed since the time of Shah Pahlevi's leadership. Nuclear facilities were built in several cities in Iran with assistance from Western countries. Progress in the field of nuclear technology has prompted the Iranian government to make a policy regarding nuclear programs. The most interesting thing in this nuclear case is that when the United States urges the International Atomic Energy Agency to investigate the construction of an Iranian nuclear reactor, it also urges the Security Council to stop the development activities. even though the nuclear reactor that was built was not intended to be bad, only as a source of electricity for the Iranian people. This is the main attraction of the author to raise the issue in a study. The research that the author is doing establishes the main problem What is the role of the United Nations Security Council on Nuclear cases in Iran and What are the Implications of the United Nations Security Council's role in Iran's nuclear case against world peace This writing, when viewed from the type of research, is classified as normative legal research, namely research that is only based on secondary data, namely the main data that the author can get from the literature and the opinions of other experts. From the results of the study, the authors did that the actions taken by the UN Security Council in stages, among others, such as determining the criteria for Iran's nuclear case is a case that threatens world peace followed by an investigation by ordering the IAEA to carry out its investigation of Iran's nuclear activities. In the end, the UN Security Council issued resolutions 1696 and 1737 which contained the threat of economic sanctions and military sanctions, but resolution 2231 became the final resolution which emphasized that all Iran's nuclear activities did not have the potential to threaten world peace and Iran. through resolution 2231 also said Iran had stopped enriching uranium, so that resolutions 1696 and 1737 were revoked. The UN Security Council is increasingly facing a daunting task considering that not all actions taken by the UN Security Council have been effective, especially when facing a stubborn Iran. In terms of the stability of the Middle East region is disturbed which will have an impact on world peace.
