Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the behavior of mothers in shopping in the market under the city of Pekanbaru. This type of research is exploratory analysis research with descriptive analysis while the behavior of mothers who are assesse d is based on factors (cultural, social, personality and psychological). Data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews conducted by researchers to mothers as a sample. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling techni que with a sample of 100 respondents. Based on the results of respondents' responses and interviews, the results of this study indicate that the behavior of mothers shopping in the market under Pekanbaru is more dominantly influenced by psychological facto rs, namely what happens in mothers who shop at the Pekanbaru lower market, these mothers have the view is that goods sold in the lower market in Pekanbaru have goods that are varied, of high quality and at competitive prices.
