Abstract
The imbalance between the amount of clean water and the population can result in a lack of clean water supply for the community. Therefore, an evaluation of the amount of clean water needs by a drinking water company is needed. In accordance with the number of customer and population growth each year. To anticipate future water needs. Therefore the authors are interested in conducting research with the title "Evaluation of Clean Water Needs in PDAM Tirta Muara, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province". Calculation of water usage is based on the amount of water used. Limited use of water because the available water is not according to needs. The use of per capita water can vary from one community to another due to various factors including: depending on the level of life, education, and the level of the economy of the community. From records that use water in the countryside and use of water through public tapes ranging from 20-60 liters / person / day. For a comparison of the use of water, it can vary from 20-60 liters / person / day for rural areas to more than 400 liters / person / day in large cities. The results of the evaluation carried out were the number of clean water requirements in 2018-2022 based on customer data amounting to 131,266.99 until 309,786.42 liters / day while those produced by PDAM Tirta Muara to be able to meet water needs amounted to 2,398,768,700 liters / day. the population of PDAM Tirta Muara can meet the needs of clean water in the years 2018-2022 of 4,099,830.36 until 4,461,750.1 liters / day. Because PDAM Tirta Muara is able to produce water of 2,398,768,700 liters / day. The author suggests that PDAMs increase the number of customers so that the available water needs can be absorbed and increase the number of distribution of water pipelines so that areas that have not been distributed can use PDAM water.
