Abstract

Insurance and insurance services companies as risk switching agencies play an important role in human life. AJB Bumiputera 1912 is one of the life insurance companies that have been long established in Indonesia and always strive to develop its products by providing coverage services to citizens of Indonesia through its products. But not infrequently AJB Bumiputera 1912 experiencing constraints, most specifically at the time of execution of payment of money insurance due to expired claims, namely the absence of certainty in the settlement of payment of sum insured to the insured. In this research, the formulation of problems that is how the process of payment the money insurance coverage due to expired claims on the Education insurance partners scholarships in AJB Bumiputera 1912 of Pekanbaru city, as well as any constraints in obtaining the payment of such coverage. With the research method used is an observational research with a descriptive data analysis. After did the research, can be said that AJB Bumiputera 1912 of Pekanbaru city does not complete the process of expired claim and the payment of the sum insured in accordance with the agreed and listed in the insurance policy and not in accordance with Law No. 40 year 2014 about insurance, That is not to provide assurance to the insured and does not establish a deadline for payment of money assured. Seems the obstacles that occurred lately in AJB Bumiputera 1912 of Pekanbaru city, it is necessary to do serious and definite efforts to make AJB Bumiputera 1912 of Pekanbaru city re-develop and gain the trust of the Society, in order to increase public awareness of the importance of life insurance and education insurance.
