Abstract

ABSTRAK BELLA NOVITA SARI (164210428). Feasibility Analysis of Crystal Guava Farming in West Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, under the guidance of Mr. KHAIRIZAL, SP., M.MA. Crystal guava farmers in carrying out their farming are faced with various problems and many experience failures in the process of cultivating crystal guava including: lack of land for production, seeds that often die, to pest attacks on crystal guava fruit which result in crop failure, production that cannot meet market demand. and the presence of other entrepreneurs who are competitors. This study aims to analyze: (1) Characteristics and profiles of crystal guava entrepreneurs; (2) Non-financial feasibility, namely technical aspects, market and management aspects, and environmental aspects of crystal guava farming; (3) Analysis of crystal guava farming; (4) Financial feasibility of crystal guava farming; and (5) analyzing the sensitivity of crystal guava farming. This study uses a survey method. This research was carried out in the Kerinci Barat Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency which was carried out from July 2020 to December 2020. The respondents in the study were taken by purposive sampling, namely Mr. Isa as the business owner. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that: (1) Crystal guava farmers aged 46 years were classified as productive age, farmers' education period was 6 years (SD), the number of family dependents was 5 people, 3 years of business experience. The profile of the crystal guava farm was established in 2017 to date, the business scale is small business scale, the source of its capital comes from own capital and assistance from the CD PT. RAPP. (2) The results of the analysis of crystal guava farming, total costs, revenues and incomes are Rp. 11,574,683/Garapan/Year, Gross Income Rp. 22,560,000/Garapan/Year, and Net Income Rp. 10,985,317/Garapan/Year, and the value is Rp. The efficiency (RCR) of crystal guava farming is 1.95, which is greater than 1. It means that farming has been profitable for farmers and is feasible to run. (3) Non-financial feasibility analysis of crystal guava farming, market aspects, technical aspects and environmental aspects is feasible, while management aspects are not feasible because they do not have a formal organizational structure, because the business is still new. (4) Financial Feasibility Analysis according to the four investment criteria of crystal guava farming is feasible to run, NPV of Rp 112,915,310 > 0, IRR value of 37.80% > applicable bank interest rate of 15%, Net B/C value of 1 ,94 >1, and the payback period is 5 years 3 months 9 days < project age 8 years. (5) The results of the sensitivity analysis of crystal guava farming are more sensitive to a decrease in production by 3.38% with an NPV of Rp. 105,074,765, an IRR value of 36.51%, a Net B/C of 1.88, and a payback period of 5 years 5 months 13 day.
