Abstract

This study is entitled "The Existence of Zapin Api Dance in Teluk Rhu Village, Rupat Utara District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province". The formulation of the problem in this study is how the existence of zapin api dance in the bay village of rhu rupat district north of bengkalis district riau province. The purpose of this study was to determine the existence of the zapin api dance in the village of Teluk Rhu Kecanatan Rupat Utara, Bengkulu Regency, Riau Province. The theory used in this study is Jazuli, which used an interactive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and data display. Subjects in the study of the existence of zapin api dance were six people. The results showed that the existence of the Zapin Api Dance is as follows: (1) the history of the zapin api dance is inseparable from the early history of the appearance of the rupat island, (2) the form of the presentation of the zapin api dance consists of motion, accompaniment, cosmetology, costumes, staging, ( 3) the values contained in this zapin dance are religious / religious values.
