Abstract
The network system of gas trunkline from west structure supplied from SKG B to SP.B4 - SP.B5 through the discharge gas trunkline with a total distance of ± 18 km, while the distance SP.B4 - SP.B5 is 9400 m. The gas supplied is a source of fuel to drive the engine in operating activities at the gathering station. Problems in the field found several deadlock points in the pipe network which indicated there were solids and liquid in the pipe. More knowledge is done on the issue by identifying pipeline to obtain the optimization strategy in resolving the issue, by planning a pipeline between SP.B4 – SP.B5 to obtain optimum operation of gas supply. In this study an economic analysis of the planning of pipeline construction with the same trunkline diameter along the pipe SP.B4 - SP.B5. Selection of diameter done by looking at the effect of pressure drop and erosional velocity using the simulator Pipesim. Next approach the problem solving by building a system using pig launcher in overcoming problems that occur in the future. Based on the results of the study, the initial conditions (existing) with a distance of 9400 m using a combination of 6 and 4 inches diameter sizes that have high pressure drop, while in the planning scenario using the same diameter. The designed diameter trunkline sensitivity test is 4, 6 and 8 inches. All sizes enter the criteria for pressure drop, except for 4 inches. Similarly, for erosional velocity against sensitivity diameter, except for the 4 inches diameter has a high erosional velocity, resulting in noise and vibration in the pipeline, So that the analysis results obtained by the diameter size selected is 6 inches. Next, the pig launcher planning is chosen as the safe material for barrel size is API 5-L Gr.B (Seamless Pipe). 6 inches minor barrels and 8 inches major barrels with 6 inches and 2 inches nozzles are safe to use because all thickness designs are below the wall thickness value. The next stage is by calculating the profit indicators for pipeline construction with an investment of 505,911 US$M and oil prices 62.38 US$/bbl. Calculation results obtained NPV@12% = 6,022 US$M, IRR = 495%, POT = 0.19 years, PI = 12.90. The sensitivity analysis by changing the assumption of 85%, 115% of the basic assumptions, shows the lowest NPV US$M = 4,725, the lowest IRR = 393%. Based on these results indicate that the pipeline replacement project is profitable and feasible to be developed in terms of economics.
