Abstract
This research was conducted for 14 days in July 2021 at the Laboratory of Fish Seed Hall (BBI) faculty of Agriculture, Riau Pekanbaru Islamic University. This study aimed to determine the effect of soaking the cherry leaf extract solution on the hatchability of eggs and the survival of climbing perch larvae (Anabas testudineus). The research method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely: P0 (control), P1 (soaking time 5 minutes), P2 (soaking time 7 minutes), P3 (soaking time 9 minutes). P4 (soaking time 11 minutes). The test eggs used came from semi-natural spawning carried out at the Fish Seed Center (BBI) of the Islamic University of Riau. The container used is a jar with a capacity of 10 liters as many as 15 pieces. The results obtained, for the hatchability of eggs the best treatment was in P1 (5 minutes soaking time) giving had a percentage of 95.33%. Meanwhile, for larvae survival, the best treatment was found in treatment P2 (soaking time 7 minutes) giving a percentage of 65.26%. The results of the measurement of water quality parameters during this study. temperature ranges from 280C-320C, pH 5, ammonia between 0.06-0.41 and DO ranges from 4.7-5.3.
