Abstract

The positive attitudes of each employee must always be considered by the supervisor in order to achieve the expected goals. An employee's job satisfaction will arise if the rewards received are in accordance with what is expected. The formation of high job satisfaction can spur an increase in employee productivity. The purpose of this study to analyze: 1) Characteristics of employees of PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation at Afdeling III , 2) Job satisfaction and employee performance of PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation in Afdeling III, 3) The relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance in Afdeling III Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. The sampling technique used a survey method by random sampling (simple random) and there were 39 employees. Analysis of the data used descriptive analysis and Spearman Rank correlation analysis , the point is to measure the level of closeness of independent variables on an ordinal scale. The results showed: Characteristics of employees of PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation Afdeling III shows the average productive age of employees is 34.46 years, the average education level is 9.61 years equivalent (SMP), the average length of work is 3.8 years, the marital status is on average married/married, and the number of dependents family average 0 (no dependents yet). Job satisfaction of employees of PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation Afdeling III is in the “very satisfied” category with an overall average of 4.84 (“very satisfied”). employee performance of PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation Afdeling III is in the “Very Good” category with an overall average of 4.80 (“very good”). The relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance at PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation Afdeling III based on the Spearman Rank correlation test analysis showed: job satisfaction with the job itself, satisfaction with coworkers, job satisfaction with facilities, job satisfaction on job security had a moderate/positive and significant relationship at the 1% test level while satisfaction The relationship between work to salary and job satisfaction to supervisor has a less close/positive and significant relationship at the 5% test level. The total overall job satisfaction and employee performance of PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation Afdeling III had a moderate/positive and significant relationship at the 1% test level.
