Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) the characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles of peanut brittle agroindustry, (2) non-financial feasibility, namely marketing aspects, technical aspects, environmental aspects and legal aspects, (3) financial feasibility of peanut brittle, (4) agro-industry business sensitivity. peanut brittle. This study uses a case study method on the "Berseri" peanut cracker business in Tengkerang Selatan Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research was carried out for six months starting from March to August 2020. The respondents in the study were taken intentionally (pureposive sampling), namely Siti's mother as a business owner and four workers. The type of data used is qualitative and quantitative data with data sources namely primary and secondary data. Furthermore, this research was analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively, business analysis, investment criteria (Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Net B/C and Payback Period) and Switching Value. The results showed that: (1) Peanut cracker entrepreneur was 47 years old who was classified as productive age, entrepreneur education period was 6 years (SMP), total family dependents were 5 people, business experience was 7 years. The profile of the peanut cracker business was established in 2013 until now, the scale of the peanut cracker business is small scale seen from the number of workers totaling 5 people, the source of capital comes from own capital. (2) Non-financial feasibility analysis of peanut brittle business, namely marketing aspects, technical aspects, environmental aspects and legal aspects is not yet feasible to run because they do not have complete permits, (3) Financial feasibility analysis of the efficiency (RCR) of peanut brittle business 1.18 > 1 which means the business is profitable. Meanwhile, according to the investment criteria for the peanut cracker business, the NPV is IDR 318,668,244> 0, the IRR value is 94%, the prevailing bank interest rate is 16.5%, the Net B/C value is 3.45% > 1, and the payback period of 2 years 3 months 29 days is small from the project life, (4) The results of the sensitivity analysis of the peanut brittle business are more sensitive to a decrease in production of 4.42% with an NPV of Rp.167.806.919, the IRR value of 54%, Net B/C of 1.9 and payback period of 3 years 8 months 20 days.
