Abstract

ABSTRACT M. Fajar Prasetyo 2020. Contribution of Limb Muscle Explosive Power and Confidence in the 50 Meter Sprint Speed of SMP Negeri 22 Pekanbaru Students This research was conducted on 13 students of SMP Negeri 22 Pekanbaru, this study aims to determine the contribution of explosive power of leg muscles and selfconfidence to the 50 meter sprint run of students of SMP Negeri 22 Pekanbaru. The type of research used in this study is correlation. The research instrument used was a standing broad jump test, a questionnaire and a 50 meter sprint test. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing, for the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the 50-meter sprint or variable X1 to Y, it is obtained rcount < rtable or 0.201 < 0.576 with a contribution value of 4.00% while the remaining 96% of running is influenced by other factors. , for confidence in the ability to run 50 meters sprint or variable X2 to Y obtained rcount < rtable or 0.250 < 0.576 with a contribution value of 6.20% while the remaining 93.80% is influenced by other factors, while for the contribution of explosive power of leg muscles and confidence in the ability to run 50 meters sprint or variables X1, X2 to Y obtained rcount < rtable or 0.527 < 0.576 it is known that there is a significant explosive power of leg muscles and confidence in the results of the 50 meter sprint run and there is a contribution to the 50 meter sprint ability of junior high school students Negeri 22 Pekanbaru as much as 27.70% and while the remaining 72.30% is influenced by other factors.
