Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between motivation on learning outcomes of sports physical education and health of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Kandis. This type of research is a correlation study. The population in this study were 60 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kandis. The sample technique used saturated samples, the number of samples in this study were 60 students. The research instrument was a questionnaire and also the student report card scores. After calculating, the overall average score of motivation is 81.7% with very high category. The calculation results obtained the calculated r value of 0.287> r table 0.254. The result of the calculation of the coefficient of determination is 8.2%. The conclusion of this study is that there is a correlation between learning motivation and learning outcomes of physical education in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Kandis by 8.2%.
