Abstract

ABSTRACT Ibnu Amwan Aulia Siregar (164110232) Research entitled “The Effect of Trichocompos and Organic Npk on the Growth and Yield of Pare (Momordica charantia L) plants. This research has been carried out in the garden of UPT UIR, Jl. Binoculars, Kec. Siak Hulu, Kab. Kampar, Riau. This research was carried out from March to May 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the main interaction effect of trichocompost and organic NPK on the growth and yield of bitter melon plants. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was the provision of Trichocompost (T) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0.75, 1.5, 2.25 kg and the second factor was Organic NPK (N) which consisted of 4 levels, namely 5, 10, 15 gr. So that 16 treatment combinations were obtained with 3 replications, 4 plants per plot, so there were 48 experimental units. Each unit consisted of 4 plants per plot and 2 plants were used as observation samples so that the total plants were 192 plants. The parameters observed in this study were flowering age (days), harvest age (days), stem circumference (cm), fruit weight per plant (g), number of fruit per plant (fruit), number of remaining fruit per plant (fruit), root volume (cm³). The data were analyzed statistically and presented in tabular form, if the calculated F is greater than the F table, then a further BNJ test was carried out at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study showed that the interaction of Trichocompost and Organic NPK had a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment was Trichokompos at a dose of 2.25 kg/plot and Organic NPK 15 g/plant. The main effect of Trichokompos was significant on all parameters. The best treatment of trichocompost was 2.25 kg/plot. The main effect of Organic NPK has a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment is Organic NPK 15 gr/plant
