Abstract

This study aims to assess the success of the Camat's Leadership in Improving the Work Discipline of the State Civil Apparatus during the Covid-19 Period and to find out the obstacles faced by the Camat in Improving the Work Discipline of the State Civil Apparatus during the Covid-19 period at the Rengat Barat District Office, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research can be obtained in general terms, namely, the Camat Leadership in Improving the Work Discipline of the State Civil Apparatus during the Covid-19 Period (Study in West Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency) has gone quite well by looking at Intelligence, Maturity and breadth of social relations, Self-motivation and achievement encouragement and human relations attitudes given by the Camat to employees. The inhibiting factors are the lack of awareness of employees in complying with regulations, lack of employee responsibility for the tasks assigned by the Camat and employees having difficulty in adjusting to the new work system during the Covid-19 period.
