Abstract

From the five instruments,only zakahthat is obligatory for every Muslim, and the other four can be a means of giving charity to fellow Muslims. To make these funds can bemanaged properly, an institution with professional and expert people is needed. The problem formulation of the study is howthe management strategy for zakah, infaq, Sadaqah, waqf, and Hibah (ZISWAH) funds in Baituzzakah Pertamina (BAZMA) RU II Dumai City. The type of this study is qualitative research. The data sources of the study are from primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation.The interviews are conducted with 5 respondents. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the management strategy is carried out in two ways, namely: (1) Fundraising strategy through the Direct Fundraising and Indirect Fundraising methods, (2) Distribution and utilization are carried outthrough the methods of Traditional Consumptive, Consumptive Creative, Conventional Productive, and Creative Productive. The priority is the asnafs in the area of Ring I (the area around Pertamina's operations and housing), the remote areas indistricts of Dumai City, and other areas that are not of concern to other parties. BAZMA Dumai City also has action methodsthat are always being consistent in carrying out the strategy, applying new regulations/changes of appropriate methods, conducting program coordination meetings every week, giving appreciation to muzakki, and recruiting volunteers. However, in some productive programs such as individual business development, there is no evaluation process, there is no grant fund and it is still trying to find the donors, so these become the weaknessesin the managememt strategy of BAZMA RU II Dumai City.
