Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of basic techniques of passing and stopping through varied methods in class X1 students of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru in 2018/2019. The problem in this study is that the accuracy and passing speed still need improvement. While the pattern of training given previously is still relatively traditional, namely the pattern of "coming-playing-going home". The lack of passing and stopping techniques certainly affects the game of football, because the capital of playing football techniques is passing and stopping the ball on teammates. As a result, the game often does not go well because there is often a wrong passing, or inaccurate passing, and so on so that most of the students have not reached the KKM value that has been set at 80. The type of this research is CAR. The population and sample in this study amounted to 27 people. The research instrument used was the assessment of the passing and stopping work rubric. Based on the results of the research that has been done it can be concluded that there is an increase in the basic techniques of passing and stopping through varied methods in class X1 students of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru in 2018/2019 because the indicators of success have been reached in cycle II at 88.89%
