Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate whether the service quality can influence customer satisfaction. In islamic teachings, the businessmen are prohibited to provide bad services or bad product quality in running their bussiness, but only give the good quality instead. In addition, the businessmen must also be gentle to the costumers. The type of this study is causal research. The subject of this study is constumers of ‘Simple Aqiqah’ catering of Pekanbaru city, amounting to 93 people. Meanwhile the object of this study is the service quality on customer satisfaction. The sampling technique in this study is proportionate stratified random sampling, that is taking samples from members of the population and stratified professionally as many as 93 people. The data analysis technique is quantitative by using SPSS for Windows 22.0. The results of this study show that based on the partial test, there is a significant influence of service quality on customer satisfaction. It is recognized from the high significant level of 11,875 and found that the level of service quality on customer satisfaction has a strong relationship, with a correlation coefficient of 0.780 or 78.0%. Then, there is a significant contribution of service quality to customer satisfaction, this is recognized from the magnitude of a coefficient of determination of 0.603 or 60.3%. In general, it can be concluded that there is an influence of service quality on costumer satisfaction in ‘Simple Aqiqah’ catering of Pekanbaru city.
