Abstract

This study aims to determine students' learning motivation towards online learning of biology subjects at SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru in the 2021/2022 academic year. The research uses quantitative methods with descriptive research types. Data collection consists of questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The sample used in this study were 74 people. The results of the research on students' learning motivation towards online learning of Biology subjects at SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru in the medium category with the overall average value of the indicators used were 76.9%. The highest average value on the indicator of being diligent in doing the task of 83.8% belongs to the category of high motivation, while the lowest average value of the indicator of student respondents towards online learning of 60.1% belongs to the category of moderate motivation. This shows that the more attention and motivation of teachers, the higher the motivation of students to learn. Supporting factors in the online learning process on biology subjects at SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru, such as the role of teachers as educators and parents at home. While the inhibiting factors such as the lack of learning facilities and the quality of the network used.
