Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of wrist flexibility and eye and hand coordination to the basketball shoot shoot lay up results in extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 1 Ujung Batu Pasir Pengaraian. The type of this research is correlational. The research subjects in this study were extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 1 Ujung Batu Pasir Pengaraian, totaling 20 people. The research instrument used was a wrist flexibility test, eye and hand coordination test and a shoot-up test. The data analysis technique used is to calculate multiple correlation values. From the results of research and data analysis, this study can be concluded that 1) There is a contribution of wrist flexing to the lay-up shoot results in basketball with a rcount value = 0.539> rtable 0.444 with a contribution of 29.05%, 2) There is a coordinating contribution eyes and hands to the lay-out shoot results in basketball with r count = 0.586> rtable 0.444 with a contribution of 34.34%, 3) There is a contribution of wrist flexibility and eye and hand coordination to the lay-up shoot results in basketball with r count = 0.668> r table 0.444 with a contribution of 44.62%.
