Abstract

Field X is located in the Central Sumatera Basin. The process is seismic sectional interpretation using 3D seismic data base. Geological modeling includes horizons and mapped fractures to produce time domain structure maps and depth domain structure maps. Geological structure of the research area is relatively trending northwest-southeast, northeast-southwest, and north-south dominated by normal faults and followed by anticline folds, the result of tectonic processes that formed as of compressional in Central Sumatra Basin. The regional geological structures of this field are controlled by the presence of the Sumatera Fault formed during the limestone period, the subduction of the sloping plate from the south-west of the island of Sumatra resulted in the occurrence strong dextral wrenching stress at central sumatera basin.
