Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of educational background, business scale, business experience, and accounting training on the use of accounting information in small and medium-sized businesses in Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City. The population in this study are the owners / leaders of small and medium-sized businesses in the District of Sukajadi, Pekanbaru City, amounting to 80 SMEs. The data of this study were obtained from the questionnaire as many as 44 pieces of the questionnaire. This study uses a multiple linear regression analysis model with SPSS 21 software. The results of this study simultaneously, educational background, business scale, business experience, and accounting training have a significant effect on the use of accounting information in small and medium-sized businesses in Sukjadi District, Pekanbaru City. While the partial analysis, business scale and accounting training have no significant effect on the use of accounting information. While educational background and business experience significantly influence the use of accounting information in small and medium-sized businesses in the District of Sukajadi, Pekanbaru.
