Abstract
This research was conducted in Kuok Sub-district of Kampar District. The research aims to find out the prospect of development of pangas catfish farming business in Kuok Sub-district of Kampar District and it’s role in the absorption of labor. Analysis of business prospect is conducted using The B/C Ratio Method, where based on 11 respondents, the business is worth to be executed. Because B/C Ratio of All pangas catfish farming business in Kuok Sub-district is bigger than 1 (>1). Then, based on the result of comparison of labor elasticity of Kuok Subdistrict of Kampar District. Business growth rate in 2020 has a growth rate of 2,95% with elasticity of 0,95 which is less than 1 (0,95 < 1) which means if the pangas catfish farming business in Kuok Sub-district of Kampar District increases about 1%. The amount of labor which absorpsed by the pangas catfish farming business in Kuok Sub-district of Kampar District increases about 0,95%.
