Abstract

Consumer protection is a legal instrument created to protect and fulfill consumer rights or efforts to guarantee legal certainty to provide protection to consumers which is regulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. In fact, the legal protection that is distributed to consumers is not balanced as well as the legal protection obtained by producers, causing consumers to be vulnerable to losses. The Issues examined in this study is How Legal Protection for consumers Laundry negligence businesses that resulted in a loss of consumer and How to completion of negligence businesses Nazwa Laundry resulting consumer loss The method used for observational research done by the survey is research that is directly conducted at the location using data collection tools in the form of interview techniques. The results of this study are legal protection for consumers given by business actors to consumers, namely providing compensation in the form of money in the amount of the price of goods that have defects due to business actors. The settlement effort by Nazwa Laundry business actors and consumers is by using deliberation, because the settlement by deliberation is more efficient, practical, and economical.
