Abstract

Literary works are works created by humans, thoughts, beliefs, the imagination, feelings and desires of the author. Semiotics is a science which systematically study of signs which are grouped into three types namely icons, indexes and symbols. This study aims to determine and analyze icons, indices and symbols, markers and the relationships of existing markers in the novel Bidadari Whispering by Asma Nadia. The research problems are (1) How is the semiotics of the iconic aspects in the novel Bidadari Bercepatan By Asma Nadia? (2) how is the semiotics of the index aspect in the novel Bidadari Berklik by Asma .? Pulse? (3) how is the semiotics of the symbol aspect in the novel Bidadari Berklik Karya Asthma Nadia? The purpose of this research is to describe, interpret, and collect data icons, indexes and symbols contained in the novel Bidadari Whispering by Asma Nadia. The approach in this study uses the approach qualitative. The type of language and literature research is the type of library study. Research methods the method used is content analysis. Research data collection techniques using hermeneutic techniques, namely reading techniques. The theory used in This research is a theory about semiotics, icons, indexes, and symbols put forward by Emzir and Rohman (2015), Danesi (2010), Pradopo (2012), Santoso (2013). The data collection technique in this research uses hermeniutic technique. Technique data analysis with content analysis, classifying, analyzing and concluding data. The results of this research are 26 icons, 66 indexes, and 39 data symbols. For example icons, indexes and symbols in Asma Nadia's Bidadari Whispering novel “Women he was staring at a photo in his hand” the quote contains the icon marked with the words of a photo, while the sign "and meditating on the persuasion of dreams harder" lulls young ages, like Ayuni” quotes containing the index are marked with persuasion then Gusti's quote gives me a hint is a quote that contains symbols with the word god.
