Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power to the chest pass ability of extracurricular basketball students of SMP N 2 Tapung Hulu Kampar Regency. This type of research is correlation. Population In this study were 20 students of Tapung Hulu Middle School in Kampar Regency in an extracurricular activity of 20 sons. The sample technique in this study was total sampling so the number of samples was 20 students. The results of calculations carried out obtained correlation index of 0,475. the value is in the range between 0,400 - 0,699 with the medium category. Medium means that the arm muscle power contributes or a substantial contribution to the chest pass of the basketball game. The conclusion of this study was that there was a contribution of arm muscle power to the chest pass ability of basketball basketball extracurricular SMP N 2 Tapung Hulu extracurricular activities in Kampar by 22,6%.
