Abstract
Comparison of Learning Outcomes Analyzing Short Stories Conducted Face-to-face and Online for Class XI Social Studies Students at SMA Negeri 1 Tapung Hilir The title of this research is the comparison of learning outcomes to analyze short stories conducted face-to-face and online for class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 1 Tapung Hilir. The problem in this research, first is how are the results of learning to analyze short stories that are done online during the Covid-19 pandemic for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Tapung Hilir, Kampar Regency? Second, how are the results of learning to analyze short stories that are carried out face-to-face during the Covid-19 pandemic for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Tapung Hilir, Kampar Regency? Third, how do you compare the results of learning to analyze short stories conducted online and face-to-face during the Covid-19 pandemic for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Tapung Hilir, Kampar Regency? The theory used in this study is Slameto (2010), Purwanto (2013), Kunandar (2014), and other supporting theories. In this study, the X1 variable is online learning, the X2 variable is face-to-face learning, and the Y variable consists of learning outcomes to analyze short stories. In this study the type of research used is quantitative research with comparative research methods. The population in this study was 179 students and the sample used was 58 students consisting of two classes. The data collection carried out in this study used observation techniques, test techniques, and documentation techniques. The method used for the analysis of hypothesis testing is the t-test of two variables. The analytical requirements test used is the validity test, reliability test, normality test, and homogeneity test. The results showed that there were differences in the results of learning to analyze short stories that carried out face-to-face and online learning for XI Social Sciences SMA Negeri 1 Tapung Hilir students who obtained tcount results of 3.178 and ttable obtained 2,048 with a significant level of 5% so that tcount > ttable. The average value of analyzing short stories conducted face-to-face is 72.89 and the average value of analyzing short stories conducted online is 62.07. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to be a suggestion for Indonesian language teachers to evaluate each activity in the learning process.
