Abstract

This study aims to determine the supervision of used clothing imports conducted by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise Customs Type C Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir and its inhibiting factors. The assessment indicators used in determine the setting standards, determine about implementation, making comparisons and apply corrective measures to evaluate. This type of research is located at the Customs and Excise Supervision Office of Custom Type C Tembilahan. This is a descriptive qualitative research type, with a purposive sampling technique which is data source observation techniques based on the researchers' consideration with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. There were 4 informants in this study, with 1 key informant, namely the Head of the Customs and Excise Office of Customs and Excise Type C Tembilahan. The informants in this study were 1 person Section Chief of Investigation and Acting Results, 1 person Section Chieff in the Counceling public and Information Services , and 1 staff of Customs and Excise and Technical Support Section. Based on the results of this study, researchers concluded that the import of used clothing by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise Type Madya Pabean C Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir regency with an assessment has not been carried out optimally, because there is no special standard for the import of used clothing that results in the smuggling of used clothing imports in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The advice to consider is to raise the standards set and strengthen the ban on the import of used clothing, coordinate the implementation of supervision of the import of used clothing with other agencies to be more optimal, as well as the role of the public in supporting the ban on the import of used clothing by not buying imported used clothing to improve the country's economy and reduce state losses due to illegal acts of used clothing trade
