Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Camat's task of coordinating community empowerment activities in the village of Kemuning Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency, as well as to determine the inhibiting factors of the Camat's task implementation in coordinating the community empowerment activities. The formulation of the problem is: How is the Implementation of the Camat's Task in Coordinating Community Empowerment Activities in the Kemuning Sub District of Indragiri Hilir Regency? This type of research is a descriptive study conducted by survey. Respondents used were determined by purposive sampling consisting of Camat and Head of Village Community Empowerment, Village / Lurah Heads, LPM members and Hamlet Heads and the community totaling 34 people. The types of data are primary and secondary data, and data collection techniques used are by questionnaire, interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis method uses a quantitative approach. The results of this study concluded that the implementation of the Camat Task in Coordinating Village Community Empowerment Activities in the Kemuning Subdistrict of Indragiri Hilir Regency was the Implemented category, with the percentage of respondents' answers of 72.9%. The inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Camat's Task in Coordinating Village Community Empowerment Activities in Kemuning Sub-District, Indragiri Hilir Regency are the lack of participation of parties involved in empowerment activities to attend meetings and meetings held to discuss issues of empowerment activities, as well as inadequate communication between parties involved in the empowerment activities. For this reason, it is suggested that the Camat should be more intensive in informing or disseminating information about the implementation of village community empowerment activities to the wider community, so that it can encourage active participation, especially those related to the implementation of village community empowerment activities, and be more intensive in communicating the implementation of village community empowerment activities.
