Abstract

Analysis of the Development of Nambus Lake Tourism Objects in Tanjung Darul Takzim Village, Tebing Tinggi Barat District, Meranti Islands Regency Abstract Lake Nambus besides having a beautiful panorama around the forest as well as a variety of flora and fauna. This tourism object also has an appeal for the community. The beauty of the Nambus Lake tourist attraction is indeed very beautiful and has a separate uniqueness because of the blend of unspoiled nature. The purpose of this study is to formulate strategic strategies for the development of the Nambus Lake tourism object using a SWOT analysis. Descriptive analysis method approach with scoring analysis using SPSS. This study uses random sampling techniques in drawing samples. The study population was tourists and the number of samples in this study was 171 samples using the Slovin formula. The results showed that the Nambus Lake tourism object has good potential for development by paying attention to the main components of tourism including attractions, amenities, support and accessibility. In the aspect of attraction, which is the main potential in the development of tourist objects, an average score of 84.3% is obtained, categorized as very good because it has a beautiful panorama. Furthermore, the results of the scoring analysis on the amenities aspect obtained an average score of 47.5%, which is categorized as poor because the supporting facilities are still inadequate. Then the results of the ancillary aspect analysis obtained an average score of 59.6% which was categorized as poor because of the lack of information about tourist objects. Furthermore, the results of the scoring analysis on the accessibility aspect obtained an average score of 55.65% which was categorized as poor because access to tourist objects was still difficult. Then carried out analiasis using SWOT to formulate a strategy for developing tourist objects in Lake Nambus, namely, empowering human resources, providing facilities and infrastructure, taking advantage of technological advances, improving accessibility to the tourist attraction of Tasik Nambus.
