Abstract

This study aims to determine the creativity in dance work kreasi (Sigak Begawai) at Sanggar Narasinga II, Indragiri Hulu Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely a study deep understanding in a thorough deal with that object researched to answer problems and obtain data then analyzed and conclude. The data collection technique used was observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that 1) Creative thinking activities in the Sigak Begawai dance form done has shown good results, as the choreographer using themes and movements in working on this first step dance, where the theme used is the theme of community customs and traditions universe as well as in motion using some additional creations on every Sigak Begawaii dance movement that follows the storyline when performing Employees, 2) Creativity finds and creates in a choreographer's studio already doing well, as in the tilling process on This second creativity uses movement, make-up and clothing, and accompaniment music, a choreographer's work process trying to create a new movement and a changing genre of music and more modern fashion and makeup on the Sigak Begawai dance, 3) New and original creativity that is carried out the choreographer in working on the Sigak Begawai dance was done well, as the choreographer uses his musical genre and properties used in arable processes with new and original creativity, so that The resulting properties used have some new additions and not eliminating the original value or form of property during the Sigak Begawai dance before being created, 4) Useful and valuable creativity that is done the choreographer in working on the Sigak Begawai dance is good and precise, as choreographers use discussion when working on deciding the values ​​that emerge from the creation movement namely on religious values ​​and the value of beauty in the dance movements created by Sigak Begawai
