Abstract
Field Y well X is a well located in the district of Siak, Riau. Well X has an Q aktual of 68.8654 BOPD. Geographically, this field is located in Central Sumatra. Field Y well X over time the production rate will decrease. Well X has a water cut of 90%, is produced continuously with the Q aktual exceeding the critical rate, causing water coning. The Chaperon method, Chierici method, Mayer Gardner and Pirson methods are methods used to calculate the critical flow rate of oil in well X in order to determine whether the well studied has water coning problems. And to find out, it is necessary to make efforts to deal with the water coning problem by calculating the critical flow rate and Breakthrough Time. This study uses several methods, namely: Chapron method, Chierici method, Mayer Gardner and Pirson method. When water coning occurs, it can be found by calculating the time from Breakthrough Time in well X. The calculation results from Q critical Chaperon method = 2.7777 BOPD, Q critical Chierici method = 10.2686 BOPD, Q critical Mayer Gardner and Pirson methods = 0.9587 BOPD. And Breakthrough Time at Q critical = 2,7777 BOPD is 176,986 days, Q critical = 10,2686 BOPD is 35107,2274 days, Q critical = 0.9587 BOPD is 9487822,157 days.
